The Tangier Royal Golf Club symbolizes the Moroccan passion for golf. Moulay Abdelaziz inaugurated it in 1917, and His Majesty King Hassan II then brought it up-to-date while preserving the natural, spontaneous character. The 18 holes weave their way through cypress, pine, and eucalyptus trees, crossing the mountain, sloping down, and climbing again. The reward comes when you reach the top — the roofs of white Tangier gleaming in the sunlight.
