The setting is a countryside looking out towards the summits of the High Atlas, and a magnificent olive grove was used. The architect, Cabell B. Robinson, put his heart into accentuating the natural contours of the terrain. He played with the great lake, drew it out, and divided it into three for the greater delight of the golfers. The greens of the area were provided with a whole battery of defenses — trees, water, bunkers, giant fez bunkers, and monumental bunkers — the largest covering 1,200 square meters. And, there will be more to come. The nine-hole Royal Golf Course at Fes will soon be twice its size!
