DREAM TRIP TO THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO
FOR AMERICA’S HEROIC FIRST RESPONDERS

Hassan Samrhouni, as the owner of Casablanca Travel and Tours, wishes to recognize the unflinching courage and dedication of America’s first responders by arranging and raising the funds for a free trip to Morocco for a select few of them after the pandemic subsides and normal travel resumes. Mr. Samrhouni, who has guided Americans on tours of Morocco since he immigrated to the United States, is asking fourteen medical institutions to select one first responder from their ranks for special recognition of their exemplary service.

“This great nation has been my adopted country for over three decades,” Mr. Samrhouni said. “It is the birthplace of my children, and the least I can do is make this contribution as a token of my appreciation. Everyone enjoys travel. It makes people happy and fulfills their dreams. I can’t wait to introduce our first responders to the many wonders of Morocco.” Doctors, nurses, physician assistants, paramedics, or other people who have played a critical role in saving lives from the ravages of the COVID 19 pandemic will all be eligible.

Mr. Samrhouni views his proposal as simply another illustration of Morocco’s support for the United States since it became the first country to recognize American independence in 1777 and as it continues to be America’s longest-standing treaty partner.

The crossroads between Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, Morocco has captured the world’s imagination with its stunning architecture, world-class cuisine, and music from the Middle Ages to today’s Marrakesh clubs. Morocco’s incredible natural beauty extends from the beaches of Agadir to the grandeur of the High Atlas to the stark elegance of Merzouga’s Saharan dunes, and the country has hosted such diverse international figures as Winston Churchill, the Beat poets, and even Madonna. Mr. Samrhouni hopes that by giving the gift of his first country to fourteen of our first responders, he can give a little bit of himself.
